To Build Lasting Endurance...

How do you build lasting endurance?

4 Step Method

1) Set an endurance based goal.

2) Develop a smart training routine around that endurance based goal.

3) Execute the training routine, relentlessly.

4) Trust the training, even when progress is slow.

I’ll leave you with this..

Building endurance takes time..a long time.

The old fellas/ladies you run into on the top of the mountains; they get it. They understand the necessity to consistently train, and that is exactly why they can do what they do, at their age.

Detraining starts to occur after 4-6 weeks..big bummer with how long it takes to build, and how quickly it’s lost…sorta like trust in a hunting buddy.

Train smart.

Giver hell,

Dr. Rob

Side note: I’ll be hanging up my travel PT shoes for a while. I’m settling down in the Mat-Su valley and working at a clinic called HealthLab Physical Therapy and Fitness.

I’ll have a lot more flexibility with my schedule, since I’m in charge of my own schedule. This also means I have more availability to work with folks online.

If you’re preparing for a hunt, and live in the Mat-Su region, come check out HealthLab. If you’re not in the valley area, need help developing a training routine, and/or are in need of rehab; now really is the time. Opener is 3 months out in Alaska, and not much further beyond that in the lower 48.
